Registration Blues

At 3:00 in the morning, today, a friend texted me that he was already in the Puerto Princesa City Coliseum, where the COMELEC Voter's Registration is being held. He said he was already there yesterday but the line was too long and before his turn came the registration time was over. That is why he was early today,to avoid the same thing to happen.
Too bad for him. However, in one way or another, it was his fault. He should suffer the consequences for not being able to register earlier. He can not make school works as an excuse for not being able to do it earlier. I mean, who isn't busy anyway. Everyone is, right?
In the news, there are people who are blaming COMELEC because the slow progress of the lines and few equipment. They say the COMELEC should have additional facilities. Well, if they registered earlier, they would have been able to register faster and less hassle. I mean, if they really were concern about the upcoming election, they should have found time to do it.
However, on the other hand, we should admire those in the long queue for there are other people who really don't care and there are others who care, as they say, but chose not to tire themselves falling in a long queue.
So for my friend, hands up pa rin ako sa 'yo. I hope you'll be able to register earlier. And to the COMELEC, I wish they extend the deadline of the registration so more people can join the upcoming election.
