Maling Sistema sa DepEd - Ranking Issues

"So, are you running for honors. Do you wanna be a Cum Laude"

Rebyu.Rebyu.Rebyu....Aral.Aral.Aral. Puyat.Puyat.Puyat.Sali sa org. na 'yon.Sali dito.Hayyy..nakakapagod.

Principal Empowerment daw kasi. Ah, ganoon pala?So si principal ang may kapangyarihan. Kaya pala, iyong pamangkin niya regular na pati 'yong inaanak at kapitbahay niya.

Past over Future

I was asked:
If you would be give a chance to have a power, which would you choose?
  1. The power to see the next 24 hours (or)
  2. The power to go back to the past 24hours
For a moment I was pensive.
Seeing the future is exciting. You get to see what will happen first before even experiencing. You can prepare yourself and others if you see bad things happening soon. And the best thing about it is you get to avoid those unfortunate events. That is if you can ‘cause sometimes there is just no way of changing what is foretold by fate.
Thinking about the first choice, I see myself like Alice of Twilight and the Oracle (or gabay in Filipino) of the drama series here in the Philippines, the” Imortal”. I would be very useful if I would have that power.
The disadvantage, however, is the loss of excitement. Just think of this, what if my father would surprise me for my birthday but before that happens I already knew he would. That wouldn’t be a surprise anymore isn’t it? I love surprises!!!I wouldn’t want to spoil the fun for myself because of my power.
So, I guess, I would choose the other – the power to rewind the last 24 hours of your life. No other person has that power. Unlike the first one, I would have the fortune tellers ,the card readers or maybe the astrologists as rivals. Not really rivals but in some way my power wouldn’t be so much unique anymore. With this power – I meant of the power to rewind – I would be the only one to possess such. Well, except the Prince of Persia (Yes, I am referring to the movie.)
With this power also, I would be able to rewind the happy moments of my life – again and again, as much as I want! I might be also be able to change the bad things I did to someone or even avoid accidents.
However, having he power to rewind the past 24hours might make me an abusive person. Maybe, If I had it i would just keep on doing things without thinking because I knew that if I committed mistake I’d just go over it again and change what I did. The Lord won’t be happy about that. Even, I, myself wouldn’t be happy about that.
In the end, I thought, I would choose “none of the above”.
Why?
There is a bliss in being an ordinary person. Like thinking about the mystery of the future and just dreaming what I would like to be someday and setting goals without knowing if I could really achieve them. If I fail, at least I tried and I have learned something. I don’t have to ruin my plans or delight in dreaming because I saw that I would fail. Besides, having and facing the uncertainties of the future is what makes one’s life a colourful and a magnificent mystery.
And when it comes to past, I guess, it won’t be a problem if I can’t go back to some events in my life. I’ll just cherish every moment of my life. I’ll keep the happy events in my memory so I could feel all over again the happy feelings attached to those. Memory is what makes one’s life special.
With great power comes great responsibility. I have too much responsibility as a daughter, sister and second parent to my students. I guess I don’t need another. What I need now is power nap.

Thoughts On Love

...Lyrics from songs that I think best reflect my attitude about L-O-V-E...

I’m afraid to fly
And I don’t know why
I’m jealous of the people who
are not afraid to die
It’s just that I recall
Back when I was small
Someone promised that they’d catch me
And then they let me fall
-Falling By Sarah Geronimo

Why Can't it be
Just a pathway full of roses
Leading to a sunset view
With the one you've always dream of waits
Why Can't it be
It was like a movie scene the way I fell for you
Only you, didn't fall
Now it's not like the movies at all
Woo... Oh... Ohhh...

Should I kept my heart shut?
Should I've been more patient?
Should I kept an eye on my addiction?
What was I expecting?
Did I have a vision of a scene, that only lives in fiction
Now I know that you are not
Gonna be my co-star
And I start to wonder why...
-Not Like the Movies by KC Concepcion
I could tell you his favorite colors green
He loves to argue, born on the seventeenth
His sister's beautiful, he has his father's eyes
And if you ask me if I love him, I'd lie

He stands there then walks away
My God, if I could only say
I'm holding every breathe for you
-I'd Lie by Taylor Swift

Maybe I was naïve,
Got lost in your eyes
I never really had a chance.
My mistake, I didn’t know to be in love you had to fight to have the upperhand.
......

I’m not a princess
This ain’t a fairytale
I’m not the one you’ll sweep off her feet
Lead her up the stairwell
This ain’t Hollywood,
This is a small town
I was a dreamer before you went and let me down.
Now its too late for you and your White Horse,
To come around.

-White Horse by Taylor Swift

....Not that i do not believe. It's just that I believe that in this complicated world, finding true love is quite hard and happy endings seldom happens. I also fear rejection. That is why I don't let myself totally fall and do not open up my heart to anyone....

Group Projects: What I Will Miss About it.

I woke up early today to pass my last requirement as a college student. It wasn’t an individual project it was actually a group output. As I hand it to my group leader for compilation, I felt quite sad. Call it corny or OA, but that was what I really felt. Honestly, I shouldn’t feel this way because as I had always said to my classmates that if I had to decide or to choose between group or individual projects I would definitely and always opt for the latter. Well, you see, I am a very independent person. I like it when I am working alone. I feel free. I can decide for myself and fail by myself only, (if in case, I fail). I also feel that I work faster when working alone.

But now, as graduation day approaches, I thought of the good times I had with my classmates. And most of those memories happened when we were working for a project.

I know, I will miss the time when we had sleepless nights to meet the deadlines. I will miss the jokes in between serious moments. I will miss the cramming, the squabbles and misunderstandings about the project. I will also miss the “snacks “, which was usually brought or bought by the last member who came latest during our meetings. Most of all, I will miss the overnight sleeps in our classmates house. Hehe..

Those things made me realized that cooperative learning, at times, are really better than independent learning for it is in group activity I learned to become a good follower. And from being a good follower, I learned to become a leader. Through it, also, I came to know each of my classmates better. I might have learned how to do things on my own when I’m doing projects alone but I have learned how to deal with people who have different working modes and personalities when working in group. In other words, I became more interpersonal intelligent.

Other than those, I also realized that the best requirements I had passed throughout my college life are those which I made with my group mates. Who wouldn’t remember the “The Torchlet”: The Unofficial Publication of College of Teacher Education. Hehe. That was a requirement for our Campus Journalism Class. What about the “Prints on Pages”. That was the book we made for first year students. Whew! Even though we just did the first grading period, that was still too arduous to accomplish. What about our research? I was so proud of our research because we were the first group to finish and we were able to defend it with flying colors.

By the way, we didn’t only make something in group! We also performed! Can you remember the “Dumheb” dance troupe? Hehe.

I will always remember those memories and the lessons it taught me. J
