Lately, my sisters and I have been hooked into the Korean Drama Heartstrings starring Park Shin Hye (plays as Lee Kyu Won) and Jung Hyong Hwa (as Lee Shin). Its title is Heartstrings.
The story is about two completely different persons. One is Lee Shin . He plays the guitar and is a rock star. He is so popular among girls in the university. He is so talented but doesn't care much about his future or where his music would take him. He is really a cold person - always wanted to be alone. Shin, though he looks cold-hearted and doesn't pay attention to girls, is in love with a dance professor in his university and he really cares so much about her.
The other person is Lee Kyu Won. She is also a music lover but she likes traditional music more. Her grandfather is a famous traditional musician and that explains why Gyu Won prefers that kind of Music. Gyu Won plays the gayageum and have won many competitions and received many awards for playing it. She is a very caring person and always thinks of welfare others before herself's but she is so weak,so clumsy and do not have self-confidence. When, she sees Shin she instantly swooned by him.
Like any other story, the two main characters will eventually fall in love with each other. But what makes this story special among other Korean dramas is the transformations the two main characters would undertake as the story moves on. The story also shows the different perspectives of people whose lives revolve around music and performance. There's the stories of a director's , a ballet dancer and star-wanna-be lives also.
